It’s a Me, Monica!

I’m a designer, illustrator, photographer, and avid tea drinker based in the United States. In May 2020, I graduated with a BA in art from Xavier University, and since then I have been working as a freelance designer and accepting commission requests for my illustration work.

My work is a result of my own curiosity where I enjoy exploring new, creative avenues to create the best solution for my goals. I do this by constantly writing out different ideas, taking inspiration from my life, working with bold colors and trying to break free of the belief that everything in art has to make sense.

My go-to jams while working are Florence + The Machine and ABBA (with a few dance parties here and there). When I’m not creating, I’m planning what new baked good recipes to try next, daydreaming about dogs, or where to travel to once things are safe to do so again.

Graphic Design

My current main gig is graphic design. While I am a little obsessed with all things related to graphic design, my favorite areas include: visual identity, marketing/advertising, & user interface design.

Photography

When it comes to photography, digital or analog cameras are both my cups of tea. My photography works are mostly focused on portraiture, fashion, and editorial. I also provide photo editing services, please contact me for more information if interested.

Illustration

Easily one of favorite commissions to receive are for digital illustrations. A popular request is portraiture, but I am always excited to create something based off a new idea. Currently I only offer illustration with subtle motion, but hopefully will be able to expand my skillset in motion soon!
