SETWorks creates software that empowers disability agencies by providing a simple and intuitive platform that improves service efficiency and reduces administrative burden.
Challenges
New Branding: Not long after the project began, the client decided they also wanted to use the website redesign as an opportunity to take their branding into a more current direction. This resulted in a great collaborative effort with their head of marketing to envision how SETWorks could visually strengthen their brand.
User Interface: Designing an intuitive and visually appealing interface that provides prospective and existing users with easy to digest information about the company.
Development: This project included both creating the designs and bringing them to reality utilizing Wordpress.
My Approach
Discovery Phase
Client Consultation: Conducted thorough discussions with the client to understand their vision, target audience, and specific requirements.
Market Research: Analyzed direct competitors of SETWorks based on trends, content layout, and imagery.
Design and Development
UI/UX Design: Created a clean and visually engaging interface with easy navigation, making it simple for users to access their account, schedule a free trial, and learn more about the product.
Iconography & Imagery: Created brand new imagery and icons for the brand to be utilized both on the site and beyond.
Backend Development: Developed the site utilizing Wordpress, Elementor, and simple coding to bring designs to life.
Content Migration: While we added 5+ new pages to the website redesign, there was still content from the old site that needed to be migrated over.
Iteration
Performance Optimization: Ensured the website loads quickly and performs smoothly.
Bug Fixing: Categorized issues into priorities and fixed any bugs that were occurring post go-live.
Teaching: Part of creating a website for this client included teaching the team how to maintain the CMS and create any additional templates/images/etc. needed using the design system.
Results
The SETWorks website redesign launched successfully in spring 2021. SETWorks was able to use the new branding assets I designed for their website refresh in their conferences to help promote their product as well as utilize the case study template I created for their marketing campaigns.
